Average selling prices in Rossendale
The latest land registry figures for May 2017 to April 2018 are out, and we want to attract more focus to the property market in Rossendale, it’s current trends, and selling prices. House prices in Rossendale are showing a huge increase in comparison to 2017. Rossendale’s property sold prices have increased by 4.2% over the last year, to an average asking price of: £130,744. This is fantastic news for anybody thinking of selling their home.

After analysing the data shown below, you can clearly see that detached houses now have an average price of £215,880, an increase of 5.3%. Semi-detached houses are up by 5.1%, with an average selling price of £135,717, and terraced houses have increased by 4.4%, with an average sold price of £102,589. This is all showing steady growth in the Rossendale valley.

When looking at types of buyers, you can see that both first-time buyers and previous home-owners are now spending more money on their desired properties, despite a slight decline in properties coming to the market. In the graph below, it shows that first-time buyer purchase prices have increased by 4.4% to £110,006, and former home-owners have increased to 4.7%, which gives an average of £149,377. This helps us show that although there are less properties coming to the market, the amount of buyers looking for their next home is driving up property selling prices.
