The directors here at Coppenwall<\/strong> are good friends with the Rose N Bowl<\/strong> carvery and public house in Rossendale<\/strong>, so they were around when Gravy Wrestling<\/strong> was first started. <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Our Managing Director<\/strong> Emma actually won the women’s gravy wrestling on two occasions, once in 2009<\/strong> and again in 2011<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

World Gravy Wrestling started in Rossendale in 2007<\/strong>, and whilst there may have been others around the globe, the Rossendale<\/strong> version is certainly one of the biggest annual events, it’s a huge hit with the crowds and attracts contestants from all corners of the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

World gravy wrestling now features in the Guinness Book of World Records<\/strong> and there’s also been a few celebrities shown up over the years to join in the fun. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
