Last year, artist Marjan Wouda visited our Coppenwall office and invited us to help bring Sir Hare to Rawtenstall through crowdfunding.
We’re proud to have supported this wonderful addition to our town centre.
Artist, Marjan Wouda said: “The hare is part of the wider Pennine landscape – evidenced in local place names such as Hareholme, in Lancashire folklore and storytelling. This sculpture brings that landscape, history and story-lore into the very heart of Rawtenstall.”
