We’re incredibly proud to share that our Directors, Emma and Duane, recently completed the Cancer Research UK Marathon Hike in the beautiful Lake District, raising an amazing £1,000 for the charity.
The challenge certainly lived up to its name! Covering an incredible 26.5 miles across some of the Lake District’s most stunning scenery, the hike took around 10 hours to complete. From breathtaking lakes and rolling hills to challenging climbs and tired legs, it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish.
The event itself was exceptionally well organised, with hundreds of walkers coming together for a fantastic cause. Throughout the day there was a real sense of community, encouragement and team spirit, with everyone supporting one another to reach the finish line.
As a family-run business, we believe there’s more to running an estate agency than simply selling houses. Every day we have the privilege of helping people through some of life’s biggest milestones, and taking part in events like this is another way we can support the wider community and help make a difference.
We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who sponsored us and helped us reach our fundraising total of £1,000. Every donation will help Cancer Research UK continue its vital work into the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cancer.
After such an incredible day, we’re already looking forward to taking part again next year! If you’ve ever considered challenging yourself to complete a marathon hike, we’d thoroughly recommend it.
