Tier 4 Lockdown in Rossendale Vs House Moving & Viewings.

tier 4

As we enter 2021, Rossendale has been placed in a Tier 4 lockdown. This means most business have to close, and we are all advised to stay at home.

The housing market is still open, and here’s a handy excerpt from the GOV website.

The housing market in England will remain open in all 4 tiers. This means that people looking to move home will be able to both continue with planned moves and view new properties to move into in the future.

Estate and lettings agents, removers, valuers and people in sales and lettings offices and show homes will be able to continue working.

This guidance provides important public health information to ensure that moving home and related activities, such as viewing property, can happen safely. It also applies to custom and self-builders looking to acquire a plot or a property to renovate or demolish.

It is important that everyone knows how to stay alert to stay safe.

One of the simplest steps you can take when moving home is to wash your hands frequently and keep as much distance as possible from other people who are not members of your household. Ensure you follow the latest guidance on practical steps to reduce transmission. and maintain a 2 metre distance apart where possible. It may also be a good idea to take extra precautions when in close contact with others, such as wearing a face covering. There are also certain situations in which you must wear a face covering.

Viewings, Valuations, Completions

We are still conducting valuations, photos & viewings, but we must insist on hand sanitizing and the wearing of facemasks.

  • Only parties of 2 can visit a property
  • Facemasks MUST be worn
  • Hands must be sanitised
  • Don’t touch anything inside a property
  • Only arrange viewings if you are in a position to purchase

If you are selling a property and would like to pause viewings please let us know. We have to remain extremely cautious during these difficult times.

Virtual

If you would like to arrange a virtual valuation or viewing we can facilitate those, just ask a member of the team. We use Facebook / WhatsApp & Zoom for virtual appointments.
